Earlier this month, I earned one of the most prestigious awards in the HR industry and I now sit in the "100 HR Super Achievers" (India) hall of fame! My professional mission statement is “to influence thousands of lives in a positive way". This award tells me that I must be on my way to achieving this.
This achievement was made easier because the company I work for has given me the opportunity to test myself, to achieve. NGA Human Resources is a great place to work because of the dynamic nature of the business. We lead the HCM market, especially in terms of solutions, services and innovation - because we work as one team, with local and global views on the end goal – making HR and payroll work well for our clients.
Career mapping
My own NGA HR journey started in July 2013. I was recruited to manage the hiring needs of the customer service delivery center in Hyderabad, India. With 440 employees supporting 140 clients for nearly all countries which NGA supports, Hydrabad is a vital strategic global HR service delivery center for NGA HR.
I set goals, introduced changes and together with my colleagues we made a huge impact on the talent recruited into the business. To do this, I had to make it my ‘business’ to fully understanding what talent NGA HR needed, when and why! The right client fit in a services center is as important as the right experience and qualifications required by the business.
Taking talent global
Recognized for my commitment to talent acquisition, my job role has been expanded to a global remit, managing the talent program for the Asia, Pacific and Japan region (APJ). For me, this promotion has kept my personal and professional challenge charged. For the business, it shares best practices to new growth markets for us and for our clients.
Personal growth to drive business growth
A great personal achievement for me has been building and then transitioning core skill competencies in India to the global organization. This business change runs in parallel to my own transition, from managing talent in a single HR service delivery center to multiple centers.
My remit is to advise hiring managers on market dynamics and to share knowledge and best practice on how to identify top talent. We’re always busy and always on the lookout for next-gen talent at NGA HR.
APJ growth
APJ is a booming economy, one where we’re actively supporting HR and payroll transformation for clients across the region, meaning we need more and more of the best talent in the region to support our own growth.
With more than 2,000 employees across the Asia-Pacific Japan region, we offer a strong local presence and understanding of specific requirements and business needs across the whole region.
Clear career direction
Our objectives are to help people build their careers, to help them to fulfill their career aspirations and to enjoy a balance that works well for them as both an employee of NGA HR, but also in their lives outside of work. This is my NGA HR journey and it continues to be incredible. Many more colleagues have their own personal success stories, clearly indicating that all NGA HR employees can excel.

My career growth is very much in line with our business objective of #NGAHRPeopleFirst. A people first culture creates a positive vibe. It allows people to explore, learn and progress their careers. As part of this learning, new ideas are brought into the business and as a global talent acquisition manager I know that behind every great business are great people.
